Spring has officially sprung! We now have longer days, flowers are blooming, birds chirping, and there is generally a happier feel in the air. I love spring. In fact, I love it much more than summer, because who’s a fan of sweating?! And of course, spring also means the chance to head off for a cheeky getaway.
For said getaways, you need outfits! The thing to remember is that you must be prepared for the in-betweens of weather, and that can be a tad difficult at times. So here's a little inspiration to get your packing started.
FLIRTY DRESS
It's not full on summer yet, but that doesn't mean you can't flash a little flesh ;) All you need is a jacket or cover up for evenings when you might find your arms or legs feeling a bit chilly, and you're good to go. This black Prada, one shoulder dress is simply divine and ideal for the transition from spring into summer. I'm not the biggest fan of heel pain, so I find wedges are a much easier way to go; this pair of Marc Fisher wedges are the perfect combination. Throw on some funky shades and your look is complete!

PRETTY PAJAMAS
Who doesn't love nightwear? If I could get away with wearing it all day I would - oh the comfort! Spring means you don't have to wear thick thermals at night just to get a good night's sleep, and this pair of Susan Beischel pajamas are the perfect pair for a getaway - perhaps with a special someone ...

CHIC COVER UP
This is probably going to be the first time you've hit the beach since last summer, and you might be feeling the fear in terms of stripping down to a bikini. I hate the first body bearing episode, but finding a gorgeous cover up always helps! This stunning Anjuna maxi dress is thin enough to be a beach coverup, but thick enough to be worn elsewhere too - flexibility at its best!

A FAB SIGHTSEEING LOOK
Spring is the perfect time for a city break exploration, and you'll want to dress to impress. No matter what city you're heading to, a chic outfit is a must. This By Malene Birger coat is the perfect addition to keep your arms warm when the temperature begins to drop in the evening, but you can still give a nod to the warmer weather with this pair of Etro cropped straight leg pants.
Sightseeing in spring is all about layers, so simply layer up your favorite items!

Where are you heading for your spring getaway? I'd love to know, so please comment below. I for one am dreaming of a beachside vacay!
Next week we'll be talking color, and theming the coming month on how to inject a spot of brightness into your wardrobe now that temperatures are on the rise. And we'll be starting with none other than Pantone's color of the year: Greenery. See you then!!
