Is it just me, or does time just seem to fly by faster and faster each year?! I honestly can't believe that we are head-on with the holidays and the end of yet another calendar year will soon be here!
Halloween has come and gone - as has most of our candy stash - and we are now getting prepped for the next big day: Thanksgiving is tomorrow! Yes, tomorrow my friends, and whether you are hosting family and friends or visiting them instead, you're going to want to look the part for this special holiday. But, what to wear?!
I find Thanksgiving to be an appropriate time to be warm and comfortable, yet sophisticated at the same time. You don't need glitter and sequins - save that for the New Year - but you still want a certain edge to enhance your personal style. It can be a difficult line to walk, but luckily for you, I have plenty of advice to impart upon you so let's get started...
Cozy Casual
If you'll be spending your day in the comfort of home with family, or perhaps meeting up with friends for a few afternoon drinks at a local bar, you'll want a cozy, casual outfit to look and feel the part. Think daytime, Parisian chic. A pair of skinny jeans with a striped top and classic knee-high boots is all you need. Throw on an oversized, plaid scarf for extra warmth and style, and of course you can't go wrong with a chic bag and a few accessories to finish off this daytime, holiday look.

A Formal Affair
Nothing says chic sophistication like metallic gold paired with a rich, cream color. It has a cozy feel, yet is still glamorous and sparkling without going over-the-top. This combination will give you the perfect day-to-evening look for Thanksgiving.
I am obsessed with this satin midi skirt as inspired by Jennifer's look below, mostly because it's a piece you can take into summer as well! Remember to throw on a pair of heels for extra fashion kudos, and ramp up your evening look with a pair of gold, dangling earrings to add an elegant line to your knit sweater.

Subtle Chic
Thanksgiving can be glam, but it should be done in an understated manner - again save the glitter and sequins for December. I personally believe monochrome is the perfect way to make a chic yet subtle statement.
Try a pop of color, red-on-red for example, or keep it sleek with black-on-black. You can never go wrong in this shade, and it will keep you feeling comfortable despite consuming more calories at lunch than you would normally consume in a week! This cute Roksanda top flatters but covers in all the right places, and I love how Cathy created a contrast with her white booties!

Rock any of these looks this Thanksgiving and you'll turn heads for all the right reasons. As an added bonus, you'll feel ultra fashionable no matter how much you decide to eat ;)
With Thanksgiving soon behind us, we'll be on the fast track to winter. Tune in next week when I'll be giving you the four closet staples that will keep you stylish and warm throughout the cold-weather season. See you then!
