Spring Style: How To Transition With Fur

We're at that awkward point of the year where it constantly teeters between hot and cold, which makes it difficult to get dressed in the mornings. Luckily, I've managed to factor in one of this season's biggest trends, to not only keep you warm but to also give your style a seriously cool edge!

Fur is a wonderful addition to any outfit, and it's the perfect answer to that not hot/not cold quandary. And don't worry, if you're an animal lover like myself there are plenty of faux options out there that look just as good - if not better than - the real thing. Let's check out a few key looks...

FUR VEST

The fur vest is the perfect change-of-season look because it will carry you from late winter to early spring seamlessly! I love this burgundy Bianca Spender shirt dress alone, but when you team it with this gorgeous Desa Collection fur gilet, the look goes from 'nice' to 'wow'!

This season's key footwear trend, the over-the-knee boot, completes the collection, and will keep you warm and cool at the same time!

ANIMAL PRINT

Fur doesn't have to be blatant and in your face and the level of "furriness" can be subtle too. Flexible and a real fashion statement, this Just Cavalli leopard print coat ticks the fur box by being animal print, and the short hair means no strays to annoy you!

Up the trend stakes by working the jacket with this plunging Alix Hudson halterneck bodysuit and a pair of well-fitting jeans. A luscious look, perfect for spring!

FURRY COAT

Sometimes it's worth it to go all out with a trend, and this seriously furry jacket does just that! Team this Sandy Liang jacket with super stretch leggings and over-the-knee boots, and you're rocking fur in the best way possible.

As a side note - I love, love, love these Highland Stuart Weitzman boots

FUR SHAWL

When you want to wrap up against the slightly cool breeze, but you don't want to be too warm either - the fur shawl is the ideal middle ground!

Go with a pair of ripped skinny jeans, like this pair of Frame distressed jeans, to give your look some edge, before throwing on that classic and sophisticated shawl. This Sole Society faux fur stole is the ideal choice, effortlessly taking you from daytime to evening.
