Are you terrified of purchasing suede in fear that you will ruin it? Well, fear not my fashion friends! From bags and skirts to shoes and tassels, suede is beyond popular this year so it is about time you and I both get over our fear of this fab leather. Here are my favorite ways (and a few tips!) on how to wear suede this season.
SUEDE ACCESSORIES
As you can imagine, I am all for a fabulous suede handbag, especially when it has fringe on it! One of the great things about suede is that its rich texture tends to enhance every color. And so if you are still feeling a bit timid about sueding out, a handbag is the perfect place to experiment with something funky and colorful. My tip: a suede bag is a statement in of itself, so don't overload your look with other over-the-top items. I LOVE Maria's suede fringe bag - definitely an attention getter!

SUEDE FOOTWEAR
Boots, booties, flats, heels…you name it and I probably have it in my closet in suede. This finish is typically a cool-weather fabric, so I suggest sticking to neutral shades when picking a suede shoe. The over-the-knee boot is my current fave, but I also love a nice suede stiletto. Jane's boots are both chic and comfortable making them the next thing on my fall shopping list!

SUEDE VESTS AND JACKETS
Suede outerwear is perfect for when you are feeling the boho/hippie-chic vibe. In winter I crave big, comfy jackets and sweaters, and suede is such a warm, soft fabric that satisfies both my fashion and functional my needs. Cathy's suede wrap is all around fabulous, and I especially love the neutral, go-with-anything color!

SUEDE SKIRTS AND PANTS
A suede skirt is bound to be the highlight of your closet this fall, and it is one of my favorite trends to make a come back from the super 70’s. My tip: contrast your top with the color of your skirt to make it really stand out. Jane's floral, bomber-style jacket perfectly accentuates her skirt and is such a fun and modern way to wear this look.

Some trends come and go without ever making into my closet, but suede is definitely not one of these. This fine leather is here to stay, so take your pick from any of the pieces selected above and you are sure to make a wise investment. ;)
