Style Guide: Date Night Styles He'll Love

While summer is known for its steamy, sensual dates, I think the transition into fall is just as seductive. The weather is milder so you don't have to worry about sweating through your clothes, and chilly nights call for stealing his jacket. ;)

Transitional outfits can be the hardest to pick, so here is my cheat sheet for what to wear on date night this season.

COLLECTION FAVORITE: FLARED SKIRT

The flared skirt has been a consistent date night favorite going as far back as the 50s (if not further). You can wear this pretty piece to a romantic dinner, but also to a lunch or coffee date. Jenny's floral skirt brings an added touch of femininity that I find irresistible.

ROMANTIC DETAIL: SHOW SOME SKIN

For those of us living in a warmer climate, it can remain pretty hot during the transitional period. While it's still warm enough, I firmly believe in showing a little skin. A short, but flattering skirt with a silk top brings some sensuality to your date night look. Add a light coat, and Jessie's outfit in these subdued hues is perfect for pre-fall.

RELAXED, BUT ORIGINAL: THE SHIRT DRESS

The shirt dress gives you an innocent and mysterious figure, but also adds sophistication. For date night, this cut shows a woman is both chic and confident and with sleeves, it will keep you warm on those chilly nights. You can pair just about any shoe with this piece, making it perfect for every date activity.

I love how Lauren's neutral accessories let the dress do the talking!

MORE IS MORE: LAYERS

My favorite part of this time of year is getting to wear layers again. I love everything about Jane's look below, and the fact that chokers are coming back gets me excited! Throw on a little jacket over your look to not only keep you warm but to also give you an extra layer he'll want to see off. ;)

But when I do, it not only makes me feel more confident but I can tell he loves it too. I hope these looks have given you some inspiration for what to wear on your date night this week!
