Nadirah came to us when she was about four months pregnant, and she had just started to make some staple purchases for her new life as a mom-to-be. The nursery was all set, the baby's designer stroller was selected, and the next big thing on Nadirah's list was the perfect diaper bag!
She wanted something that didn't scream "DIAPERS" and that would seamlessly transition into her life as a successful model and vlogger. Functionality was clearly important, but fashion was just as much of a priority for this stylishly, confident woman.
What we expected to be a tedious design process was actually quite the opposite, as Nadirah instantly fell in love with our classic 'Watson' tote in our exclusive, high-gloss black lizard-print leather. The next step was ensuring all of the functionality of your standard diaper bag in a not-so-standard, much more elegant, bag design.
We swapped our signature, turquoise suede lining for a water-resistant nylon, which is not only much easier to wipe clean but also helped minimize the weight of the bag. The inside features multiple compartments to store all of baby's necessities including two detachable bottle holders, making it especially easy to transition this design from diaper bag to everyday tote. A changing pad was a clear necessity, so we created this using the turquoise nylon material as well.
We added a small zippered bag in the same black, luxurious leather as the exterior of the tote to not only organize and store smaller items, but to also have the option to wear this on its own as a clutch when mommy gets an evening off! Finally, we added multiple straps including a cross-body strap and two stroller straps in rose-gold leather to match her rose-gold leather tassel charm.
