One of my absolute favorite looks is black-on-black. This is a trend that will never (EVER) die, and believe me when I say that all-black is not only a NYC staple, but it is also an elegant, refined and a super easy way to throw an outfit together.

Rocker-chic outfits are probably what come to mind most with the all-black trend. The key pieces here are leather jackets, boots, pants, and don't forget the bag!! Add some spice with a long bohemian skirt and a wide brimmed hat, and you'll avoid looking like a band wanna-be. I am loving Rima's attitude in her casual yet edgy look!!

RELY ON VOLUME AND TEXTURES
I have to admit: no matter how refined it is, all-black worn from head-to-toe can be a bit too dark for certain occasions. In these circumstances, play with volume and textures in true fashionista style!! For example, try a pair of fitted black leather pants mixed with a loose-fitting top. Jane's asymmetrical poncho adds the perfect amount of dimension to her look. I'm on the hunt for a similar piece to add to my closet asap.
