High fashion tends to be associated with dramatic silhouettes and impracticality. Those of us who don't walk the catwalk typically take runway looks and tone them down to become more acceptable for everyday wear. From high waisted pants to pretty pastels, here are 4 ways to wear my favorite fall runway looks!!
FRINGE
Fringe is literally everywhere. I see it on skirts, tops, boots, heels, and of course bags!! Luckily, this is a trend that is super easy to translate to everyday wear. A fringe piece takes a classic look and gives it an instant high fashion edge. My tip: only wear one of these adorned pieces at a time. Wearing a sick fringed moto jacket?? Leave your fringe heels at home!! Jane shows how to edge up a classic outfit with a fabulously-fringed bag!

HIGH-WAISTED PANTS
Low waisted "hip-huggers" are a thing of the past. Our love-handles are thanking us because this is the season of the high-waisted pant. Hitting right at the natural waistline, we're really only talking about a few extra inches, but the impact on your silhouette will not go unnoticed. You can easily create the illusion of longer legs and a super small waist, and to take the look even further add a little belt. I love the way Molly from A Piece of Toast shows us how to wear high-waisted pants that don't look like 90s denim!!

LONG COATS
Nobody would have thought that Neo from the Matrix would end up as a style icon, but sometimes fashion still manages to surprise me. This fall, coat lengths are getting longer, so purchase this year's trench in a silhouette that goes at least to your knees- if not longer!!
In her t-shirt and jeans, Lisa demonstrates how a classic trench can add glamour to even the most casual of fall looks.

PASTELS
This is probably the hardest fall trend for me to get on board with, because I'm typically a believer in saving pastels for spring. The most stylish way to tackle this trend is apply the look from head-to-toe, but for newbies like me wear a pastel dress with dark accessories. Stick to hues of pink, blue and purple, and save the yellows for spring. I am absolutely obsessed with Jenny's street-chic pastel look!!

Now that you know which key pieces to invest in for fall, all you have to do now is shop, shop shop!! I know I will be investing in tons of fringe. Show me how you wear these autumn trends with #MYMB and #BestDressedMB and I'll share and repost my faves.
