The season we're in right now is kind of an awkward transition period. It's technically autumn, yet it's still 85 degrees outside. And although this time of year can be one of the hardest to dress, it's also one of the funnest. It's the best season to experiment by combining your favorite summer and fall pieces to create brand new looks!!
And if you're thinking there's no way you could mix summer + fall, check out the chic outfit ideas below...
TRANSITION WITH PASTELS
Extremely delicate and feminine, pastel tones look great on everyone regardless of skin tone or hair color. The hottest pastels of the season are powder pink, light blue, yellow and lilac.
You can wear pastels head-to-toe, or mix them with nude or white shades. These combinations can be worn at the office, walks in the park and during cool fall evenings. The bohemian tones of pastel colors best complement natural, feminine hairstyles, so don't go too crazy with your curling iron!! Lisa from See Want Shop looks ready for the cool temps of fall in her pastel pink coat.

TRANSITION WITH METALLICS
Everyone loves metallics, and the transition between seasons is their time to shine!! I for one can never resist a touch of sparkle. They are extremely trendy, and the best part is that you can combine them with any color. And if you can't fathom wearing metallic clothes, try incorporating a little shine in your shoes - there are a ton of metallic options out right now with everything from sandals to sneakers. Those of you ready to go all out should take a cue from Jessie Kass's fab outfit below!!

TRANSITION IN MONOCHROME
Monochromatic outfits are definitely a trend that is here to stay, which makes me a very happy girl!! Whenever I am feeling a bit stuck with a lack of fashion imagination, I just throw on black-on-black, or denim-on-denim, etc. If you are still dreaming of sweet summertime, wear light blue on top of denim. Juley's shades of blue look ohhhhh sooooo chic!!

TRANSITION IN MUTED NEUTRALS
Neutrals are a must-have for the upcoming winter season. One of the most popular colors this summer was white, and I am a huge advocate of extending this shade into the sunny days of fall. While transitioning seasons, incorporate shades of grey into your neutral tones. Wear a darker color pant or skirt and pair it with a lighter top and jacket to perfect your neutrals look!! Olivia from The Corporate Catwalk always looks feminine and put together, no matter the season.
