Denim, denim, denim...I can't seem to get enough of this versatile fabric. Last week I gave you 5 ways to wear denim on denim, and this week I want to focus on the denim skirt. I was not a believer when this trend first started making a comeback, but now I know that this piece can surprisingly be pulled off for just about any occasion.
DENIM ON DENIM
This trend is back, and from the looks of it, is here to stay!! For a casual but feminine look, pair a denim skirt with your favorite chambray top. Choose pieces in different shades, such as a dark skirt with a light top. Jane of FitFabFunMom's denim ensemble is the perfect example of how to mix and match.
The best part about this look is there are TONS of shoe options. Espadrilles, sandals, and stilettos all look great with denim on denim. The correct shoe will ensure this look stays chic and never goes near the tacky denim trends of the early 2000s. For more great ways to wear denim on denim see my post HERE.

FLARED DENIM SKIRTS
This skirt has a playful vibe to it that I just simply love. It's casual yet it inspires a contemporary Lolita outfit. Choose a flared mini to emphasize your legs. Conversely, opt for a midi skirt for a slightly more conservative style. Helpful hint: always pay attention to the length and choose the one most suitable for your height. Jessie Kass rocks a fabulous denim, mini flare skirt, which accentuates her fit legs and makes them look 10 miles long!!

MIDI DENIM SKIRTS
Before you keep scrolling down, trust us when we say that this style is surprisingly easy to wear. Rock it with confidence as an office alternative for Casual Friday, or pair with a blouse and high heels for after hour drinks with friends. Take note from Cathy of The Middle Page blog, who styles her denim midi flawlessly. I love everything about her look!!

MINI DENIM SKIRTS
Long, lean beautiful legs were made for a denim mini. They are perfect to wear with sporty outfits, but can also look super chic with a simple swap in shoes. Jessie Kass proves this point perfectly as she takes her look from drab to fab with a stunning pair of pumps.

With this post, I am officially making the denim skirt a closet must-have. Remember that the key to pulling off this piece is to make sure you pick the right cut and length for your body and style.

Thanks Cathy!! We absolutely love your style so can’t help wanting to share all of your looks :) xxMel
I love this post on denim skirts! I would love to be able to wear all of the styles, but my knees no longer will let me wear the cute short flared ones (curse you mother nature for skin sagging after a certain age!!!). It’s a good thing midi skirts are back in!
Thank you for featuring my look! You are a doll!!!!! xoxo
