Style Guide: 2016's Hottest Festival Fashions

One of my favorite things about summer (other than a backyard BBQ) is all of the great festivals going on! From big music festivals like Coachella and SXSW, to local arts fairs, there is so much to soak in both visually and audibly. And since festival fashion can be a little out there, I've created this list of the hottest styles that won't have you feeling like you're at a costume party...

SHOW SOME SKIN

My biggest tip for festival fashion is that it must be comfortable since you will be with large crowds in the middle of the day. The easiest way to stay cool during those long summer weekends? Show a little skin! Crop-tops, bralettes and teeny shorts are still all the rage, and they are a great (and sexy) way to stay cool. Nicholl's light and breezy look is an appropriate way to show off your toned summer body without being too revealing.

ELECTRIC YELLOW

Another festival trend this year is sunshine yellow. Mustard or citric hues are fabulous as well. Wearing yellow to an outside concert or arts festival will bring some cheer to your look and create a fun summer style. Swap Harrison's heels for some cool sneakers or flats and you are beer-fest ready!

COOL PANTS

A music festival inevitably involves a lot of walking, so the ease of a pair of jeans is ideal especially during evening shows when the temperatures will start to dip. Whether classic, boyfriend, distressed, printed or in fun colors, cool jeans paired with a T-shirt or statement top can help you create an easy-going festival look. Courtney's funky shoes and top absolutely pull this look together!

FLOWY FLORALS

Florals are everything this year and I'm especially loving this print for festival season! A flowy maxi-skirt makes a fun statement, but if you aren't feeling this girly pattern you can wear the same outfit with a fun, geometric pattern instead.

Christina's gorgeous look is festival ready thanks to her cute crop-top!
