Style Guide: Time To Add A Little Rocker-Chic To Your Repertoire

Since so many of you loved our post on modern grunge a few weeks ago (which you can read here!), this week we are taking things a step further to show you exactly how to add these elements to your repertoire for Spring. No matter how you define your personal style, from feminine to classic and everything in between, today's style guide will take your look to the next level of rocker-chic!

ROCKER-CHIC FOR FEMININE STYLES

The leather jacket is the easiest way to add a little rocker-chic to your look. This single article of clothing has managed to defy the passing of decades and break the barriers of style. My new favorite way to wear this classic piece is to substitute it for a blazer at the office or date night. Soft lace or chiffon pieces also pair perfectly with this tough look. For spring, try a leather jacket in your favorite hue like Courtney's red rockstar piece, and take things up a notch by going head-to-toe monochrome.

ROCKER-CHIC FOR BOHO STYLES

Rocker elements are a surprisingly easy way to add some spunk to any style. My tip: always stick with minimalist, but effective combinations. Start by investing in a pair of (high quality) faux-leather pants and wear them with a boyfriend shirt or flowy top. The key is to keep it simple. Stilettos work for almost every outfit, but I also love a flat booty or sandals with this look. Harrison's tunic, floppy hat and fringe bag maintain the cool vibe of her boho style while paired with her rocker, leather pants.

ROCKER-CHIC FOR CLASSIC STYLES

Do you consider yourself to be more of a classic gal? If so, boyfriend jeans (or denim shorts on warmer days) tastefully torn with unfinished hems will be your perfect rocker pal! Sneakers are my go-to shoe with either bottom, but a classic heel with the longer hem can give your classic look some major sex appeal!! Sarah gives us yet another option with her flat strappy sandals, which are perfect for running errands or brunching in style.
