Now that the weather is starting to warm, dresses of all shapes, sizes, and lengths will soon be taking over my closet. I love them, not only because they are super feminine, but also because a dress accentuates our bodies with such ease and chicness unlike any other article of clothing can.
So what is your perfect dress for Spring/Summer? Designers are suggesting we welcome the warmer weather with light and airy pieces that emphasize our femininity. Stylish pleats and statement prints are just a few details that will transform this must-have piece. Read on for more dress trends to consider based on your unique body shape and style personality.
Seductive lingerie has inspired some of my favorite designers to revive this 90's trend. Slip dresses with thin straps that provocatively fall off the shoulders are the "it" design, most likely because their fluid fabrics manage to perfectly compliment any figure.
Although it may seem hard to pull off, a slip dress made of satin and lace is extremely versatile. And believe it or not, it can be worn in broad daylight when paired with the right pieces of course. Layer it with a chic sweater, a leather jacket or a masculine denim blazer. A fur coat, masculine shoes or biker boots are other stylish options to try out. Jenny gives us a perfect example of how to balance this piece for daytime shenanigans!

In their Spring 2016 ready-to-wear runway shows, Alexander McQueen, Giambattista Valli, and Balmain, among other fashion houses suggested ruffled dresses for the warmer weather. Ruffles not only elicit childhood memories, but also help create an ingénue, romantic, but still seductive outfit. The best part: you can use this detail to hide or highlight certain parts of your body.
For example, if you have a small bust try wearing dresses with voluminous ruffles on the top. If you have an apple-shaped figure with broad shoulders, you can balance out the proportions by opting for dresses with ruffles at the bottom.

Perfect for this transition period, the shirt dress proves its versatility yet again. And this time you will see it in multiple versions, shapes and sizes. If you want to wear the shirt dress at the end of winter, for example, you can choose a medium length variation and wear it over a pencil skirt or your favorite pair of skinny jeans.
A long shirt dress made of an easy and loose material with colorful prints can double as a beach cover-up or evening dress with just a simple swap of shoes. My favorite is the oversized, masculine-inspired shirt dress, and I absolutely love how Elshane has styled hers with the most feminine of accessories!!

The denim dress is perhaps the most casual of your dress options, yet it's versatility in silhouettes makes it easily adaptable to any style.
Combine this fabric with the cut of a shirt dress above, and you will delicately outline your body's silhouette while simultaneously hiding small flaws. Wear it with Chelsea boots or stiletto heels. Not only you will appear slimmer and taller, but you'll feel more elegant as well!

Whether it be a lingerie-inspired dress paired with leather and lace, or a more practical denim shirt dress with sultry sandals, the ease of styling these pieces makes them must-haves for the new season.
