Style Round Up: The Looks Everyone Was Wearing This Summer

As hard as it is to believe, we are well into the month of August. Labor Day will be here before we know it, signaling summer's official end and the start to another fashion season. This year we saw several trends catch fire and explode onto the fashion scene. From comfy boho dresses, to elegant sandals, off-the-shoulder tops, and bright whites, some trends were on repeat while others were fresh and new. Here is my round up of the top looks everyone was wearing this summer.

BOHO CHIC

Laid-back 70's styles will remain an important influence in fashion for years to come - that I'm sure of! Maxi dresses are the perfect example, and while they were popular a few years ago, they came back in full force this summer in a more relaxed and casual manner. Be sure to check out our Style Guide on how to update your maxi dress look here. If you have been resisting this come-back trend, now is the time to make the investment. Christina's look in a darker hue will easily take you into fall!

BRIGHT WHITES

White is no stranger to summer wardrobes, but this season bright, structured white dresses were popular for both work and play. Take advantage of the versatility of an A-line dress and wear it with sporty shoes when out and about, or with ballet flats or mid-heeled sandals during office hours. While the time to wear white is coming to a close, I don't see this trend going anywhere anytime soon. Olivia's look was one of my favorite office outfits this summer!!

EXPOSED SHOULDERS

This trend exploded onto the scene with a force unlike any other. I adore exposed shoulders. Not only is this look flattering on any body type, but there are also so many ways to wear this trend. As much as I love the tops and dresses everyone is currently coveting, I think a jumpsuit like Jenna's below is a fun way to mix up this new summer staple.

STRIPES ON STRIPES

Stripes are another trend that never go out of style, but this summer we saw a LOT of them. Am I the only one who gets a sense of the French Riviera when wearing stripes?! Courtney's pretty top mixed with heels and classic white jeans is a great modern way to wear this pattern, and it can easily be taken into fall with the switch of her bottoms!
