Accessories are everything! A well placed earring, bracelet, choker, or scarf can take a 'just okay' outfit from zero to 100 in a matter of seconds! For me, accessories make or break a look, and I love to mix and match unusual pieces with different designs, to keep my style interesting...and to give people something to talk about ;)
Because the term 'accessories' can basically mean anything, we're going to help you figure out which pieces to rock this summer, taking you from day-to-night with ease.
Tassel Earrings
You know I love a good tassel, and the best thing about a pair of tassel earrings is that they give you instant glamour. If your hair is in-between washes and you need to tie it back, throwing on a pair of fun earrings will not only take the attention away from your potentially messy locks, but will also elongate the neck and give you a more delicate-looking décolletage - triple whammy! Make sure you pick a color that complements the rest of your outfit, but if you're looking to go from day to night in one smooth move, a pair of tassel earrings will do it for you.

Neck Scarf
A neck scarf really takes an outfit from 'blah' to sophisticated in a matter of seconds. An otherwise boring, plain top suddenly becomes the canvas for the pattern on your scarf to sit against. This is an accessory which can take a day outfit - a conservative work outfit, for example - from daytime casual to nighttime chic, simply by wrapping a carefully selected scarf loosely around your neck. Give it a try!

Dainty Jewelry
Of course, you don't have to go over the top to make a statement, and if your outfit is already doing that for you, a small or dainty piece of jewelry can be just the thing to finish off your look. Think a delicate necklace to fill in the space between a low neck line and your earrings, perhaps. This could also be a pair of stud earrings, or a single bracelet to give you a little extra sparkle. Accessories do not have to be flashy to make a splash!

Now that you know the types of accessories which are big this season, make a point to experiment with what you already have in your jewelry box or drawer. You never know what you might have accumulated over the years!
